What to expect on Sunday
Normally on Sunday, we gather in Thomasburg and in Roslin on alternating months at 10:00 am. for what is usually a traditional style service lasting about 1 hour with our children being dismissed for Sunday School about 20 minutes in. We do have some variations in our worship experience and in the times we meet. For information about a specific Sunday, please check out our “Service Times and Locations” page.
Those who serve as greeters arrive some 20 to 30 minutes before the service begins and so you will usually find a smile and a warm handshake (unless it’s flu season) when you arrive. There is an order of service with announcements produced almost every Sunday with some larger print versions available. The music is most often played on either an organ or piano and most often our songs are printed in our hymnals “Voices United” and “More Voices.” We also spend time in corporate prayer, hearing the words of the Bible and considering some of the thoughts they express. We give an opportunity to share God’s financial blessings (an offering) about 40 minutes through the service. For those who do not regularly attend and wish to participate, visitor envelopes are provided on the back of the pews. There is no expectation that you need to give.
You are most welcome to join us.
